We have nine en-suite guest rooms with king-size or twin beds. Some of our spacious bedrooms have space for an additional ‘rollaway bed’ if required. New soft furnishings, lighting, decor, and highly comfortable Sealy beds ensure you feel at home during your stay.

Our en-suite bathrooms have been newly refurbished. Six of them feature a walk-in shower, and the remaining three have either a separate bath and shower or a shower over the bath. All have a soft-close toilet, sink, new flooring and lighting.

We are open all year round including holidays such as Christmas and New Year, so book your idyllic get away with us for a time that best suits you.

Gorgeous amenities from Bath House are provided for your pleasure, plus your room will be cleaned to a high standard courtesy of our amazing house keeping team!

The Kings Arms offers bed and breakfast accommodation in comfortable, en-suite rooms. Our cosy lounge and bar serves lunch, dinner, cakes, and bar snacks. There is also a bright and airy games room featuring a pool table, dart board, and TV.

Please note we do not have TVs in our guest bedrooms. We provide free high speed internet to allow streaming on your own devices.

The Kings Arms is a dog-friendly hotel, and we make extra effort to maintain our high housekeeping standards when dogs visit. There is a £20 surcharge per dog per stay (not per night) to cover the cost of this—please check our guidelines here if you wish to bring your dog.

Check in is from 2pm onwards and check out is 10am. If you require a late check out an additional charge of £10 will be added, this can be requested when booking or on the morning of departure.

The Kings Arms Hotel has centuries of experience providing hospitality and accommodation to travellers and tourists. In 1799, William Wordsworth and Samuel Coleridge chose the Kings Arms as a starting point for their exploration of the Lake District.

All 9 of our rooms are priced from £150 per night, including breakfast. A rollaway bed (child or adult) is bookable for £45 per night (also including breakfast).

Travel cots for babies and toddlers are available free of charge. Don’t forget to book directly with us for the best prices!

A Wonderful Hotel. Must recommend this hotel. Just checked out after a 3 night stay with my wife. Visited nearby locations such as Keswick, Grasmere and Windermere. This hotel is in a very good location for accessing the surrounding area. The hotel itself is 400 years old and is oozing character, it's warm & comfortable. We stayed during horrendous weather and the hotel was soooo nice to come back to especially it's open fire. Staff are polite, welcoming & helpful. I didn't give a 5 out of 5 because I very rarely do. Amsterdam is our next getaway.
