Sink your teeth into a Steak & Ale Pie, indulge in fresh seafood dishes, or try the famous Cumbrian lamb – a local speciality you won’t want to miss! And if you’re visiting on a Sunday, our roast is an absolute must! Just decide if you prefer a lunchtime Sunday roast or dinnertime Sunday ‘lunch’, as we serve Sunday Roasts all day! Pair your meal with a pint of local ale, and you’ll have the perfect dining experience.

At the Kings Arms, we have new menus every season. Pub favourites such as pies, fish and chips, and burgers are always on the menu, but our chefs Robbie, Vikki and Thom also add creative dishes each season.

When are we open?
The Kings Arms is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Our hotel guests have praised our breakfasts, but you can come in for breakfast even if you’re not staying with us!
What sets The Kings Arms apart, though, is the atmosphere. Our friendly staff create a cosy, welcoming vibe that’s hard to beat. Our stylish and comfortable lounge, with its woodburning fire, is a popular spot for catching up with friends and family over drinks, lunch and dinner. Or perhaps you prefer the light and airy bar, with its choice of tables and seating? Don’t worry; there’s another wood burner in the bar, too!
